Asthma/COPD Health Clinic

Asthma and COPD are chronic diseases involving the airways in the lungs. The airways become inflamed, making it difficult for air to move around the lungs. This can cause shortness of breath, wheezing, coughing and chest discomfort. There is no cure but with a treatment plan in place your daily living activities will improve.

If asthma/COPD is suspected, we can arrange an on-site spirometry test (a simple breathing test) and/or a chest x-ray. If treatment is needed, you will be prescribed inhaled medication. Inhalers help ease the symptoms and in some cases can prevent attacks.

As an asthma/COPD sufferer you will be invited for a regular review with our Practice Nurse.
